Vopak invests in Indian terminal

Vopak has acquired CRL Terminals Pvt Ltd, which operates a bulk liquid chemical and vegoil terminal in the port of Kandla on India’s west coast. At 261,600 m3, it is one of India’s largest storage facilities and has 121 tanks linked to five shared jetties owned by the port. It will be renamed Vopak Terminal Kandla. “India is seeing rapid growth in the production and consumption of petrochemicals and vegetable oils,” notes Eelco Hoekstra, chairman of the board of Vopak. “The acquired storage terminal in the Port of Kandla is very well positioned to support the logistic product flows resulting from this growth.”
