Plymouth gets a helping hand
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NDED) has awarded the village of Plymouth, Nebraska $454,855 in Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) to loan local metal intermediate bulk container (IBC) manufacturer Plymouth Industries funds to purchase equipment and for working capital. Plymouth Industries will now invest in a plasma cutting machine as part of a project that will create 20 full-time jobs. According to the NDED, the CDBG-R funding “will be matched by $60,145 in village programme income and $1.58m in renewed bank loans”.
As well as producing a wide range of standard and bespoke cuboid, cylindrical and hopper-bottomed IBCs for the transport of dangerous goods, the company also fabricates a number of different agricultural and recreational products.
