US-based Nampac, a BWAY-owned manufacturer of plastics drums, pails and jerrycans, has unveiled what it says is the first gasket-less lid for liquid-handling pails. Employing three mechanical seals, the one-piece Tri-Seal is, the company says, suitable for most commercial and industrial non-hazardous liquid applications and can also be used for handling regulated solids rated up to Y27S when used in conjunction with a UN-approved Nampac pail. "We are excited to unveil the first gasket-less cover," says Nampac president and COO Tom Linton. "The largest single cause of complaints in our industry is gasket issues and the Tri-Seal eliminates that exact issue."
