Kinder Morgan’s terminal business produced first-quarter earnings of $187m, up 10% no the $170m recorded in the same period last year. Organic growth accounted for 80% of the increase, the company says, with coal exports particularly strong. Ethanol volumes were up 14% year-on-year.
